There will be changes in public transport traffic during XXV All-Latvian Song Festival and XV Dance Festival

During the XXV All-Latvian Song Festival and the XV Dance Festival the traffic of public transport in Riga will be adjusted to the festival programme and location of its major events. He public transport will run more intensively, some routes will be operated longer than usually so that festival participants, Riga residents and guests could visit the concerts. During the parade of festival participants, passengers should take into accounts that public transport traffic will be restricted where the parade will proceed.

On July 4-6, a special trolleybus route, Central railway terminal – Daugava stadium will be opened for the convenience of festival participants and visitors (see on the map), but on July 6-7, before and after the concerts, trolleybus route No. 3 will be extended to Mežaparks (see on the map).

Extra buses and trolleybuses will be provided before and after the concerts in Daugava stadium to deliver the participants and viewers to/from the stadium. There will be additional trolleybuses on routes No. 5, 11, 13 and 22, on special route Central railway terminal – Daugava stadium, as well as buses on routes No. 3 and 6.

In the night of July 4/5, due to festival concerts, public transport on some routes will run until 2:00 AM. There will be extra runs on the routes with the highest passenger flow, including bus routes No. 11,  12/ 23/26 (combined), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53, tram routes No. 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11, trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27.

July 5

There will be additional trams on route No. 11, trolleybuses on route No. 3 (to be extended to Mežaparks), as well as buses on routes No. 9 and 48.

In the night of July 7/8, due to festival concerts, public transport on some routes will run until 2:00 AM. There will be extra runs on the routes with the highest passenger flow, including bus routes No. 3, 11,  12/ 23/26 (combined), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53, tram routes No. 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11, trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27.

On July 7, during the parade of festival participants, some public transport routes will be changed for the period from 8:00 till the end of the parade. The following routes will be changed: bus routes No. 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 24, 30, 40 and 50, tram routes No. 5, 6 and 7, trolleybus routes No. 1, 3, 12, 14, 17, 19, 24, 25, as well as minibus routes No. 200, 206, 212, 212a, 216, 220, 222, 224, 236, 237, 267, 271.

During the above period, those passengers having bought and using tickets for the above bus, trolleybus or tram routes will be allowed to use their tickets on other bus, trolleybus or tram routes to reach the necessary destination, without registering their trip.

During the parade, the Retro tram will run by route "Radio Street – Mežaparks". Given these changes, the schedule of the Retro tram will be also changed, accordingly.

Night transport will run in the night of July 6/7 and in the night of July 7/8, starting from 3:00 AM.
